ZOMG! I'm going to make a completely neutral comment here!

How come none of the vista skins can get that translucent, glass block look that aero has? They are all just transparent...

Meh, the only reason I installed Vista on my other drive was for DX10. I haven't booted to it since I installed it. Only reason I'll ever go there is if I absolutely have to. Like if some DX10-only game comes out that I can't live with out. But I've made my little niche here in XP and have no reason to leave it. Although I will try out the theme, see if I like it. The default XP theme is sooo ugly, I switched it to the Royal theme from MCE, which is a bit easier on the eyes. Still, nothing even comes close to my Gnome theme. Clearlooks + Tango icons + Compiz Fusion > Aero. Although I can't game as much in Fedora 7.

I've been using VTP7 for a couple months now, and this is the most functional transformation pack I've seen yet. They really did a good job with this one. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone whose interested in a Vista-look-alike. I haven't found any errors yet.

HAHA! And Vista's old ME crap? That's kind of a poor argument.

No offense, but Windows Vista is built from the ground up and Windows XP is indeed based on the Windows NT Kernel... (Correct me IF I'm wrong.)

Windows Vista has it's pros and it's cons, but MOST of it's cons will be disappear when Microsoft releases the first Service Pack.

It's current pros and cons what I think are now:

-Pros: - It is much more stable than Windows XP will even be.
- It uses memory much more efficiently by pre-loading regular used programs.
- There's is still a lot of performance to be taken out of Windows Vista, Windows XP has already met it's limit.
- ...

- Cons: - It uses a lot more RAM then Windows XP does. (This will be fixed in the first Service Pack.)
- A lot of companies are still optimizing their drivers to work well on it.
- ...

BTW, incompatibel drivers are NOT Microsoft's/Widows Vista's fault/problem.

So can this be easily turned on and off, or is it intergrated once installed?
I would be interested in it, but not if it is too interwoven with XP.
