i agree!

its practically harassment with commercials imo!

id love to see this get a foothold.. and maybe even succeed in my lifetime!
In the UK you pay for TV in a license. That only pays for the BBC not having adverts. Tv licensing is to do with the BBC and nothing else.

You pay for sky since they have to pay for maintenance to satellites and some channels have no ads.

As far as that campaign goes, its true

Since the BBC broadcasts on UHF radio frequencies, it means any equipment capable of receiving UHF frequencies and displaying them can only legally be possessed if you possess a valid UK TV Licence. This covers freeview boxes, video/DVD recorders with built in tuners, antenna, PC TV Tuners, and any other equipment capable of receiving UHF.

HOWEVER, it is possible to ask for the TV tuner to be removed from a TV when you buy it, negating the need to purhcase a TV licence, and in that case you can simply use it as a display without a valid TV licence!

I would like for all movies and media to be free. I am not referring to games and programs just movies and other such media. Why... thats simple... if they can afford an actor can get plaid 16million to do a movie then they can afford to give it to all of us. I know that these people need to make there money back so maybe they should pay les to the stars and charge less for the DVD's
