I'm pretty sure this is utter rubbish. I mean why would AMD want to develop a browser? What would be the point in it? I can't see any. In fact, the only software i can see AMD developing is drivers.
I was wrong. I am sorry.

The point of it would be a very user friendly way of viewing web media like videos and such. |

.And its NOT just a web browser (Again, Overclock.net FTL because of crappy thread titles). This is similar to the feature in Windows XP Media Center where you can browse your pictures and crap. This is more or less a small software suite for HTPC's more than likely. Your not a genius, and neither is your post.

AMD Live has been a free download available for a while. I saw it demoed at an AMD retail event. It provides remote mediacenter functionality similar to a slingbox. The tech at the event was able to log on and watch TV being streamed from his home halfway across the country. He was also able to access his desktop remotely with it. I was pretty impressed with the software although I would never use it. If AMD can successfully provide a free program to compete with GOTOMYPC or similar things, it could help their sales. The conference I went to was last June, and they gave us a copy of the program to try out. I did not try it, but it has been out for a while. I kinda wish they would give this a rest though and focus on making faster CPUs.
