If this is true I can see why the game makers are pissed.

Make games more fun. Problem solved. And I'm going to say this once
GAME DEVELOPERS DO NOT LOOSE MONEY DUE TO PIRACY AT ALL!
And you're gonna argue "OMG THEY DO". No, not at all. They just didn't make AS MUCH.

So are you saying COD4 is not fun? That won't solve anything, the problem is generally people won't pay for something that they can get for free.

OR, drop the price about...20? 50$ for a game is outrageous. And yes, COD4 is old after you've beaten SP.

I think pirating games is very different from pirating music. In game piracy the developers' income is hampered or cut in half depending on how much the game is pirated. In music the artists' pay has already been set and paid, its the record labels take the hit.

They are both wrong but i think people need to wake up and start paying for games. I havent pirated a single game, but i frequently use limewire if i hear a song on the radio, i download a few songs off of limewire and if i like other songs from the artist i go out and buy the CD. I have done this many times, but i also have a few friends whos library completely consists of limewire music.

If you want to try the full game borrow it from a friend for a few days, torrenting it isnt helping the situation and if it continues piracy will be a strong reason for developers to go console only.

Ahemmm.... theoreticly speaking ofcourse
I'm sorry but I'm not about to pay approx 80-100$ (thats how much they are here) without having a feel for the game, not just singleplayer, I bought COD4, and thats only because I think this is a must have and that I wanted to support IW, however most games are pretty useless, so yea I'm gonna try a new game, and if I like it i'll buy it but I see no point in paying that much for something i'll play for 5min, i mean I can friggin add 2gb of ram for that much!

The course game dev's should take is release the demo let the ppl try the online game and then put a reasonable price tag on it! I'd be the first inline to get a new game I like if it was 40$... which it in at the US I think.... so it's X2 over here....

Hmmm, with this same logic the Devil May Cry has been downloaded for the XBOX 360 25,8000 times this month alone! Woopty freakin do! Looks like the PC isn't the only one being pirated people! So Infinity Ward should stop making excuses!
