Hmmm, well they fixed alot of bugs from there RTM version. I think they manily tried to fix has many bugs has possible without hurting vista's prefromance. If you look at it that way they didnt do THAT bad of a job. IMO of course.

I highly doubt the XPSP2 is the slowest since Vista 64 RTM is slower in actual benches(my PC's speed). It takes less time copy stuff in XP than in Vista for me.

Even the souce says, "benchmarks scores such as Passmark don’t translate well into real world performance indicators."

This is actually the first time I have seen PassMark used, and little is mentioned of their testing methodology.

I would be very interested in seeing an in-depth, scientific, review of Vista vs. XP perfromance, but this is certainly not it.
