I for one hope they drop that almost. A lot has changed since 1985, windows has not. At its core it is the same 16-bit OS that it started out as. A rewrite would be welcome. A microkernel would be fantastic (I'll believe it when I see it)

I'm all for a leaner, modular, The Boys in Redmond Windows, but I'll hold off judgement till I actually have a chance to use it. TBiR are pretty hit or miss when it comes to predicted features/enhancements.
__________________I don't doubt the core OS will be more streamlined, but I highly suspect the consumer versions are going to be as loaded with bloat as ever.
