This is a HUGE hit to Yahoo IMO. They need to do something drastic or Google is going to get ahead of them.

Did you read the article you posted here? It said that Google has long been the leader in search engine users, but Yahoo was ahead because of all the other things Yahoo has. Now Google is ahead in total users, not just search engine use.

Considering how many crappy apps try to install yahoo toolbar and reroute your homepage to yahoo, it isn't surprising they held the lead in total visits.

I hate going to yahoo's site. It's completely ADD, makes my eyes want to bleed.

Google's simplicity combined with igoogle (if I'm in the mood for more immediate news) are why I like the site. It isn't trying to beat me over the head with advertising and stupid teeny-bopper American Idol look at madonna's new video guess who's in jail again aren't these famous people interesting zomg did he say that BS.
