Full Story

There is too much to quote, so I encourage everyone to read the whole story. Hopefully this will convince people to actually pay attention on what they are clicking and what site they're actually visiting.

Security is a really a big issue for the people that are not savvy with computers and don't know what to stay away from because are they are ignorant to it.

That being said, if you have decent knowledge of computer theres no excuse for you to get a nasty virus or a heap load of spyware on your computer and give someone your credit care number because it says you need to to get rid of it unless your just totally careless and stupid.

Online security is a joke. It's the people who are a joke at being careful and using smarts and NOT CLICKING ON OBVIOUS SPAM EMAILS URLS.

Some phishers are pretty smart and can even trick above average computer uers. When most people think of phishing they imagine a site that simply imitates the original site and uses a different web URL that looks slightly close to the real URL. These phishing sites are very obvious.

Then you have XSS(cross site scripting) where the phisher can still your current session information just from you going to the real website and clicking a valid link. These aren't as common as regular phishing sites but they are out there until the software is fixed.

Don't think that your anti-phishing software is going to catch all of them. It will catch most but not all.

We're talking about phishers here, not malware.
