Its just an article trying to scare the public and generate hits on the site.
Reading just from the post here the phrase " Every device that connects to the internet needs a separate address" just made the point of the article moot.
Mrs Karen Dearne, please find something else more shocking, this has been run to the ground!

Maybe this is my first thread, where I see too many shallow posts/opinions.
Most of these people doesn't even know what internet address is. So here is my question: "Why do you post a statement, instead of a question? Or Why didn't you check Google what's IP?"

On the topic:
For me IPv6 is the future, it has been set long time ago. And it's live and kicking... some migration is needed and everything will be just fine. Maybe personal IPs will be available. Which is not very good for people like me

About the IPv4 future:
Well logically, RIPE, ARIN and the others will have suspended IP registration, or they will slow it down. So IPv4 will last more than 2 years from now, for sure.
The future? Heh, excluding the IPv6, I see just 1 future - dynamic addressing/assignment in particular - NAT. I have 8 (up to 12) computers in my home network on 1 external IP.

If you dont like the signatures that go as follows "*insert high percentage here* of people have *insert random verb.* If you are part of the *enter low percentage that adds up to 100 with previous percentage* that *insert the antonym of the verb used previously* then put this in your signature" then put this in your signature!!!
