While the article does have some "figures", the press release they supposedly came from isn't sourced. Even if the numbers happen to be completely forthcoming and accurate, the rest of the article is highly subjective.

PS: I don't play WoW or AoC, so I don't really care which one is "better" or if AoC is "failing". The only fail I might see here is this in this article's objectivity and credibility. I can smell the smoke from whiny fanboy flames miles away. lol.

I love AoC. It's an awesome game.
Take it from me, they don't have problems with subscribers. I see plenty people on just one server out of 20/30.

As expected....Who the hell likes to pay just to beta test a game?Cause,face it,this game is still in beta -.-(numerous bugs,immature pvp system,incomplete design of hero classes,awful economy system and the list goes on....).This game should in no way have been released that early.
As for people telling wow was not that smooth @ launch : did you play when the game launched?If yes you can remember numerous raids of 20lvl chars runnin around barrens and westfall.I do not say the game was perfect.It had some bugs(quest related mainly) but it allowed you to have both a good enough pve and pvp experience from frickin lvl 1.

ps: i am still roflin @ the lack of slow abilities.....
ps2: dont start flamin me as if i am a wow fanboy...i have quited it for like a year now and i am in no way blindly supporting it

You know, from what I hear I could, but I tried it once and I never really got to the point of the game where I can do any of the fun stuff. I much prefer controlling a humanoid avatar than a tiny spaceship. Just personal preference though.

Author is an idiot. Its way better than wow is and for a matter of fact other MMOs. Its here to stay!

I don't see why people think it's against a WoW fan's religion--or fan of any MMO--to praise a competing game. I'm a die-hard Darkfall Online fan, but the second that I heard about Mortal Online, I jumped on that bandwagon as well. I all I want are good games. In fact, I'd rather there be several good games, as opposed to just one good game.

the game is new it has bug's it's not finnished the end game is not there

well no mmo is finnished on release, no game is bug free on release not even console ones.
as for end game content it's there.
but it takes time for the smaller guild's to actualy get there. building a city for for the real end game pvp aint done in a flash(u pvp maniac's start farming :P)

as for all the folks complaining about the game well stop the subscription and go back to wow plees.

Yea seriously....just because the blogger made a pie chart people think thats real? Where is his proof?? I know several people that work in stores that sell AoC and they say they can't keep it off the shelf. I am sure some people cancelled, but I am also sure that 'returned' figure is BS because I have never seen someone successfully return an opened PC game. The box and the website have min reqs listed so most people with crappy PCs either never bought it, or bought it and got screwed out of $60.

I have no clue why so many people want AoC to fail....so bad that they are willing to make graphs up and post elaborate blogs.
