Wonderfull, my most played game refuses to start, just sits at a white screen. Time to go back to 8.5, good game on your fail drivers AMD.

Maybe they spent to much time improving performance for vantage and not enough time for every flipping other program. If the biggest thing to come from these drivers is digital male enhancement for vantage then what is the use of even releasing them is my question.

Catalyst Install enhancement - No reboot required after Catalyst upgrade install
I don't know what that means, but I still got prompted and rebooted. However, everything did go flawlessly. And, for the first time every, the Cat Driver boosted my 3dMark06 score, by 70 points. From 8.3->8.4->8.5 I kept getting a decrease of 25-50 points XD. The thing I did differently this time was I didn't uninstall the all the old ATI software/drivers. I just let the install suite do it itself when it installed 8.6 and so far so good. Time to see how Team Fortress 2 and LOTRO fair.

I haven't had any issues so far, I have yet to try all my games to verify their stability.

I too had to reboot after installation. My best guess is that for newer versions(eg: Cat 8.7) it will allow for a restart free install.

Call of Duty 4: Performance increases across all Radeon™ HD 3xxx and HD 2xxx products, with gains as large as 35% in specific maps. <- Downloading just for that.

Downloading now. I'm happy about the performance increase in COD4 as well as the fixed flickering in Frontlines Fuels of War
