There's nothing in the world wrong with liking something or touting its benefits, but when you unjustifiably defend it or insult something else simply because it's not what you'd use, you are a fanboy. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

I find it funny, people are like "hah! told ya so!" or "MACS GOT A VIRUS HAHAHA" when in reality we all ultimately knew that there was gonna be eventually a virus/trojan/spyware and whatever else to hit Apple computers. Do you really have to degrade yourselves enough to state the freaking obvious information in a computer forum where probably over half the freaking actually don't give a rats ass about your personal indevor to degrade the value and name of a company that doesn't give a **** about you and whether you like their product our not ? I find it funny okay, Apple computers have a handful of bugs, and Windows has a house investation of them and your pointing Apple out ?!?! As a Windows user, a computer technician and as a computer enthusias it gives me a headache people have to really flame such aspects like this.

Someone that truly loves computers would strive to adapt to every type of computer whether it is different or completely different from what you prefer. A real computer ethusiast would improve their versitality with computer hardware, different operating systems, and whatever else in the computer world to ultimately improve their knowledge with computers in whole!

Yep. If everyone would just accept the fact that no piece of software is perfect or impervious to attack, the world would be a happier place. OSX, XP & Vista aren't perfect, FF and IE7 aren't perfect, etc, etc.

This is nothing new. It is just getting more publicity.

I want to draw attention to the fact here, Chipp, that it is no secret their commercials have been highly deceptive and prey on the general ignorance of the 'average joe.' This has earned, among the communities that realize what they are doing, a lot of bad publicity. It is only natural people will jump on them getting a share of what they tried to exploit to the verge of almost false advertising. (And at one point it was completely false advertising because they blatantly said there were 'no viruses', which everyone knows it near impossible.)

Now i am not going to spew some hate speach about them getting what they deserve, but now i hope the public will learn more about the situation and be better prepared for the future.
