I love when MacFanboy's I meet at Random places and they always ask
Quote:
MacFanboy: "So What OS are u using?
me: Windows
MacFanboy: "So I am assuming u have virus's right?"
me: no because I don't download stupid stuff, I assume u have virus's also then
MacFanboy: "O no never, Mac don't have viruses"
me: hmm, your stupid
I have been hearing this for years that Mac's don't have viruses, so when is the First Mac Virus Anniversary anyways, I forgot the date?

These are social engineering trojans - they have nothing to do with Mac's underlying system. Also note that trojans are not viruses. There are no self reproducing OSX viruses in the wild.

Quote:
Purple prose aside, the first Trojan is called PokerGame and pretends to be a card game. However, it's real purpose is to take over the computer it is running on.

Having fooled the user into running the malware in the first place, PokerGame then attempts to trick the user for a second time, claiming that an admin password is needed to repair a corrupt preference file.
It's a program that asks for your password - not exactly a virus now is it?

Hmm...I guess I'll write an OCN trojan. Maybe that will make the admins learn to close these glaring vulnerabilities.gratuitous double post ahead

idk, Im too tired to make sense out of anything right now

Im just really tired of people in a sense of "Mac is the Almighty OS, there is nothing wrong with it"

but I guess we have to get use to it, since its been like that for years
