Default [itwire] Mac OS X Trojan threats on the loose in the wild

Quote:
Mac users beware: a dastardly duo of Trojans is seeking to suck secrets from your computers, and both have been spotted in the wild. With a little help from an incautious user both Trojans are capable of getting around the Mac's defences and executing code with administrator or root privileges.

According to Apple, Mac viruses don't exist.

Then again, according to Apple, Macs have no problems, and all their software and hardware is just so extremely stable, secure, and has so many many features that there is no need to modify them in any way.

Technically, apple says, "Macs don't catch those pesky PC viruses." That's true... But of course they're playing semantics. I just got an apple newsletter/ad email, and it said "the reasons to get a Mac, blah, blah," I read that, and I rolled my eyes and hit delete.

That looks like a really old version of OSX. That would be like pointing fingers right now at vista for the problems experienced at the time of release. Stuff happens, of course.
