If Vista was different in a way from XP that would cause serious issues within the business then I can perhaps understand. I cannot see why Vista is this evil entity to them.
Another Valid reason would be if they were waiting on Windows 7 ....but I kind of doubt that.

it's probably not cause the OS is "broken" , vista is stable enough but needs lots of resources compared to XP , and offers very little new to corporations , Intel will ofcouse wont be the only one to skip it.
anyway some Intel computers will have vista ofc , testing drivers,dx10 technology and such.. |

That "broken" OS has been running on my machine flawlessly for over a year. I highly doubt the vast majority of computers being used at Intel aren't capable of running Vista well.

There is currently a problem using domains with vista and server 2003, thats the only real issue I can see with business apps, this should be fixed when server 2008 is put into place.

Another wonderfully made up story from the inquirer.
On a personal note I didn't have an issue with vista until I tried to do some things over my network my vista computer didn't want to play with my xp ones, I don't have 6 copies of vista so the one that had it went back to xp for now.

Few businesses are using Vista. It doesn't offer anything over XP besides slowdowns. The system requirements are also steep, given that most office computers are little more than glorified typewriters.
Heck, even on a user by user basis, there's little you gain using Vista. I'd be willing to bet that if not for DX10 exclusivity, very few would willingly go out of their way to use it.

Also, if a company upgrades to Vista they will have to upgrade all of the PC hardware as well. You need a significant leap in cpu/gpu power to jump from an "average" XP machine to the "average" Vista PC. There are lots of reasons why companies make certain decisions. I don't know why this kind of junk gets news. It's almost like there is a propaganda campaign against MS or something. These articles are clearly written by people that are trying to sell magazines or get hits to their web pages. So many people have jumped on the Vista bandwagon now. Poor Inquirer...

Vista is not just a glorified OS for DX10. Vista is more secure, responsive, better memory management, larger database of drivers for hardware...ETC Why do people think you need some Pwnage machine for Vista ? I am sitting in my office right now on 1GB of DDR2 and a Celeron 440 @ 2ghz and Vista FLIES....It really does. Most office machines these days have atleast my Spec..not all but alot. As for people saying Vista is slower, well I just do not know where you are coming from...DONT even try to blame it on '' Oh noes Vista uses up too much RAM'' It doesnt thats called memory management and Vista preloads frequently used apps into memory for FASTER access. If RAM is needed then Vista will unload applications so that others can utilize the free memory. Its a very Dynamic system and it seems most people have not got a clue when it comes to Vista. Oh and BTW for everyone saying Vista runs slow...well I use it on my Asus EEE with minimal specs...and it runs as fast if not faster than XP...so yeah I know what I am talking about.
