Guys, its probably because they would actually have to make drivers that werent POS for their GPU.
Oh and they would probably have to upgrade 60% of their computers to have IGPs that can run the Vista Basic theme. But i vote drivers.

don't take it personally...When the RAM is needed, Vista just dumps these applications to the page files. It doesn't actually "unload" them. This results in a much slower system when running memory-intensive applications. What do you? Browse the web? Send email? I can do the same on my 133MHz Compaq with 16MB of RAM...

3DS doesn't support Vista yet so that is why most engineering companies don't use it.

Remeber people, Vista is home users. Intel is a company base. Why would they use "Vista" when they can use A OS like > Windows server 2003 > 2008 (once its out and stuff) or Any type of Linux server OS.
I'm doing the basic > Surfing the web, listen to music & play lite games <, and I always disable page filing in XP. I think page filing is a joke simply because it uses your harddrive has virtual memory. If we all know when this happens, the more the harddrive is used, the more power is used and the more slower it becomes because the more the harddrive is reading & Writing AND the less the program can actually do its thing If your on a laptop and have XP with aleast 1GB of ram. Disable PF, its not worth it if you do basic surfing, listen to music and maybe lite gaming (Games like Need for speed 5 and HP2) I knwo this has nothing to do with this thread, just thought I would post it here
