I couldn't tell you how many of my friends growing up and adults I know now that were beaten and have an absolutely horrible life right now. I honestly attribute much of it to their upbringing. It is so easy to be violent. The hard thing is to be patient and take the time to teach your children responsibly. It pays off in the end.

As for the kids posting in this thread that adults should get with the times etc., well see where you all are in 15 years. yes, you may have a good job and a health family, but I guarantee you will never be able to enoy it (or anyting else) for more than 3 minutes. I get so sick and tires of the "I want it now!!!" mentality. Patience is a virtue and will make you appreciate many more things in life. It isn't always about what you are supposed to learn, it is also what you learn along the way. Have fun being a bunch of shallow, thoughtless humans that have no substance and no ability to appreciate the depth of life. /rant

Hmmm sure its not thats why they have footnotes at the end of each paragraph. Its university lecturers wanting to make our studying that little bit harder

Its not about laziness dude. Its about efficency. Do you really want to spend 5 hours trying to find the same answer that you can find in a few clicks? I don't think so. Plus you can spent that time actually improving the assignment rather than rushing it like all assignments are.

Its the practicality. If you can find the answer in a few click which is been referenced and has sources to back up the claim why can't we use it?

As for kids getting dumber. Its the the education standard and how they teach. i.e. the curriculum dude. When you were at high school how did you feel? I hated doing Macbeth or Hamlet and I thought to myself what does this have any relevancy to english? None. Instead of teaching grammer(like they should) they instead teach some yee old english which doesn't make any sense;has to be derieved and transalated in order to understand what the hell they are talking about

If you go to the states or Canada(this is like 9 years ago so beg you pardon if things have changed) they ACTUALLY teach grammer at primary school and high-school. Tell me this were you taught grammer in high-school? I wasn't. I had teach myself
