I thought so
![]() Firefox has Speed Dial as an add-on and I use it. I prefer Firefox because of the great add-ons and the ability to change/tweak a lot of things.

Oh well in that case Safari is even better for you, it has bookmarks right on the window all the time you can just click and go to whatever link you save on it.
![]() All the words you see under the address bar and to the right of that book icon are bookmarks you can set and click on at anytime to take you to whatever site you set it as. And you can even have bookmarks within bookmarks like "News" has 26 bookmarks in that folder when you click on it. It comes down as a drop down menu. And it very simple to set it. Go to a website then click and hold the icon to the right of the web address and drag it and let go on the bookmarks bar. You can rename it to whatever you want too. By far one of the best features of safari (because it's alot cleaner looking then on other browsers). Last edited by davematthews52x : 06-26-08 at 05:07 PM. |

I like opera, but on my Macbook it doesn't integrate itself into the system in the way that safari and FF3 do. There are a number of keyboard shortcuts that are ubiquitous in OSX and almost all software written for OSX that opera does not use. Safari and FF3 make the attempt to make themselves just another part of the system, Opera doesn't.

Also for you firefox fans, nothing against you, obviously you would all root for firefox but you might wanna take a look at these.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4472219.stm http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/04...curity_update/ http://www.channelregister.co.uk/200...owser_bugfest/ http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/02/25/firefox_update/ http://www.channelregister.co.uk/200...threat_report/ Even though those are old they still prove my point. And this i quote from the last link: "Between July and December 2004 Symantec documented 13 vulnerabilities affecting Internet Explorer and 21 vulnerabilities affecting each of the Mozilla browsers. Six vulnerabilities were reported in Opera and none in Safari." Last edited by davematthews52x : 06-26-08 at 05:22 PM. |

You complain that FF and Opera is too complicated becuse it allows you to have add-ons and such, but you say that the perfect browser should have everything you need and be simple at the same time. I like greasemonkey because I can run macros in my OS, I like NoScript because it lets me block JavaScript, I like Ad-block because it blocks ads for me. Unless a "simple" browser has these features, or the option to add these features, it just doesn't cut it for me. Being simple, but allowing for complexity is why I like Firefox.

Safari sucks big time.
I hope it still doesn't look like Itunes. gah... Btw the day Safari was released it had multiple major issues that took Apple weeks to fix. Apple just sucks at making software for PCs. Just like in the case of Itunes (how it crashes on Vista, has loads of bugs, etc.), Apple just doesn't want PCs to succeed (obviously) and after forcing their users to download their crappy browser, against their will, they show them how buggy it is and try to blame it on Windows. The solution to them is then to buy a Mac. It's all business. Which is why it doesn't make any sense at all to use Apple's browser on Windows. The only reason they even released it was to please Iphone website devs.
