Greatly decreased. This article is talking about novice users who buy a new computer and take it home and plug it directly to the cable modem. It's talking about automated ping sweeps and trojans that have been programed to automatically propagate through an unpatched or unprotected ports. "Malware" is such an incredibly vague term... all systems are susceptible to malware, and the people posting in this thread talking about BackTrack and Metasploit are jumping the gun. Those kind of attacks are the kinds that you're going to find on a corporate LAN.
