If you just had Vista UAC then this wouldn't of happened.

Apple really needs to stop doing this, though. I always found it to be low to include crap without telling you. That's something adobe would do.
Thinking what im thinking?

If you can delete the hole package that has a trial. Does that mean you can install the app again and bam you get another 30 days or whatever

No, because iTunes/QuickTime/Safari are by Apple which Vista thinks is a trustable company. Hence it doesn't bother you with UAC. It only does that on software companies it does not recognize.

QFT. I've considered Apple to be as low as Realplayer ever since they attempted to install Safari on my machine. I only have iTunes installed on one computer now because my brother refuses to use rockbox to update his iPod.

Only reason I have Quicktime is because of the Gametrailers website. I hate Quicktime and its stupid background processes at startup. Itunes will not make it onto my hard drive because it adds several processes at startup that I have to disable every time it updates, is horribly organized, is ugly (most Apple software is, actually), and because 99 cents for a crappy 128kb/s song is ridiculous!

I haven't installed an Update to iTunes since the first iPhone came out. That update installed this process that always ran in the background of your computer(i think it was called applemobiledevice.exe) and it was absolutely useless unless you have an iPhone, but EVERYBODY had to install it. I don't think you could easily stop the program from running either. I remember you had to go to add/remove programs and it was listed in there. Haven't updated iTunes since, and won't install iTunes/Quicktime on my newer computer.

There's a bunch of buttons beneath every GameTrailers video player that lets you select the client player. Just pick Flash and be done with it

Now I'll admit I don't like itunes one bit, but to imply Macs are full of bloatware is just nonsense.
Did I ever imply that they were? You clearly misunderstood me. I said, "Honestly if Apple keeps heading in this direction I see the "Bloatware" that people hate so much becoming a problem on their PC's."

What they are doing with iTunes and Quicktime ETC is adding crap not everyone needs and no one really wants. They didn't used to do this but I am starting to see a trend. I meant if they keep escalating like this I see "Bloatware" filled Macs in the future like Dells are now for example.
