Another victim of the problems with Avast. I've had similar problems with it in the past & this just came up on my buddy's laptop. I will not go back to Avast, nor suggest it.

It's going to be Clamwin or AVG from now on! AOL was offering a 'Free' dumbed-down version of Kaspersky that used to rule. As with everything AOL touches, a beneficial item has been removed from their offerings!

Yep, I agree completely, I use ESET Smart Security (NOD32) because I need its great anti-virus, and its great Firewall. But if I didn't need the firewall I would be with Avast, as I was in the past.

i highly doubt it as it's a fresh vista install with minimal progz installed right now and everything i have has already been though a couple different AV scanners. nothing new. more than likely it's just a retarded problem with Avast or there's an option that isn't on by default and i'm just 2 apathetic 2 try and figure it out.

It's not a problem with Avast, it's a problem with your computer. It works fine for 99% of people

Anyone know if this will play nice with ThreatFire? I got rid of AVG because it kept thinking TF was a virus.
