Surely the lowest of the low spec 8800 would be worth getting as a physx card as i am guessing any decent graphics card will be way overspecced as a physx cards.

No, this will work on any card that supports CUDA, so and 8 series card and up.

They just beta'd the first round of drivers for the newest cards.

I wonder if you have to have an sli board to use one card for physx. If any good games start using it or havok gets done on the gpu I will put my 8800gt in my x4 slot for physx and buy a better card to put in the x16 slot for the graphics. I hope that is possible though.

This finally means that the fastest card in the 8800 series will support it now. (8800GTX/Ultra)

Every time this has come up it always comes down to this. You have those that say yes and those that say no on the 8800GTX if it can or cannot do this. Is there any reading I can find from the N thats official on either way if the G80s will support or not support PhysX?

If they support CUDA they will support physx.
