Up till now, Physx has been in Beta, and its real release will be done on all CUDA enabled cards; so everything 8 series and newer. They have stated many many times that it will be available on all CUDA enabled cards. It is questionable though if they will let you say run an 8800GT for the game, and tell it to offload all physx to another card (like an 8600GT).
