Well, I do believe that I really enjoy my vista machine. I had XP x64 installed - now that is a poor operating system.

How does something suck because you decided not to use it? ![]() XP = BSOD's, program crashes, the whole OS freezes unrecoverably from a single program error, easily corrupted on both stable and unstable hardware, spyware infestations with novice users regardless of protection software. Not to mention the nightmarish x64 version Vista = Dead stable for one year and counting on three different systems, one of which is the public living room whore computer. No spyware, no crashes, no BS. x64 = win I think something sucks... people who think Vista sucks for no good reason.

define "stable". Vista is just has stable has XP.
Just because it has failed on you before doesn't mean its going to be unstable and fail on everyone else Remember dude, vista is newish. XP has been around for many many years. Services packs are the one that makes it stable

From my experience, it is most definitely NOT more stable. Not even close. The notion is actually laughable to me.
__________________XP machines will corrupt themselves just sitting there idle. I've seen it happen a hundred times at work. A single program crash... the entire OS rolls over and dies... with Vista you force quit, and just like OSX, restart the program without issue 99% of the time. XP's instability is monumental compared to Vista in my experience.

At least when Vista has an occasional error, it is better at controlling it.
I can think of a few times when I went too high on the overclock of my video card, and all it would say in Vista is "The video driver stopped responding." In XP, the computer would have an e-seizure and BSOD.
