You would be right, but it's not really an issue of hardware per se. What doesn't make sense is that they will limit some people BECAUSE they don't have the resources to support the service they offer. Another one of those "No one will actually use this much, but we'll offer it" BS advertising gimmicks. They're being secretive about it because if the people they were limiting knew they were being limited, they would be getting sued all over the place.

It IS scamming
you go to download a file then all of a suddent its like "Wooo, 900 bits per second"...... ETA: 4 years. Cox Communications does this too, its only a matter of time before they get the hammer to their face.

My problem has been the method, not only do they impersonate the pc on the other end but despite their repeated claims that it's only for certain high-bandwidth users and only at times of high traffic it has been proven multiple times that it is almost ALL users ALL the time!
