Not all of us have an extra $120 to buy a Vista disc. I would rather buy some games, and play them on XP. I still don't like having to install any OS for that matter. Takes me a good 1-2 days to get everything just the way I want it. And it can be time consuming
That's the whole point of the hobby of computing. To have it consume time while you find out more about yourself and the topic of your hobby.

Welcome to my world. But hey - I still moved and reinstall my OS every couple of months. It takes me like a week to get everything installed again.

i know how you feel.. i find it very hard to keep an install for more than a month. i'm not kidding either. the second something breaks on my install i feel compelled to reinstall. i'm gonna have to invest some hdd space on doing a complete image backup of a fresh windows install

not true.. depends which lappy..

in any case i love vista! though, sometimes i get nostalgic when i remote desktop to my other xp machine and see a big beautiful screen filled with a blue taskbar and an undersized image of rolling green hills..

I love Microsoft's "Mojave" experiment. It's like complete pwnage to vista haters. Makes me really happy I could almost care less about what vista haters say because it makes their comments obsolete (Like XP, joking, but it's getting there).

The "Mojave" experiment was Microsoft showing some computer illiterate people demos in a controlled environment. Those people did not test the system themselves.
So I don't think it's any kind of "pwnage".
