Vista is nice, it runs just as well as XP but it has these infuriating graphical glitches that break the flow of using the OS, and lets not forget th (Not Responding)

My 386DX machine better be able to run Windows 7 or I'll be pissed. I'm super serial.

No that still means Microsoft failed with Vista. It doesn't matter how good your product is, if no one buys it. Then the company producing is has failed.

If on the other hand, someone takes a old and crappy product, puts it in a new box with a brand new advertising campaign. And this product does sell, then it's a success. Even if the product sucks.
Successfully marketing it is the difference between a good and a bad product.

As for me, I agree what others have said. Send me the money and I will give a Vista a try. The improvements that it is supposed to have do not justify the price tag for me. And no this has nothing to do with "I hate Vista". I never tried it, but XP is running perfectly and what I have read about Vista has just not convinced me that it is a significant upgrade worth the €.

I think the hardware have caught up to Vista now, but the support (drivers, software compatibility) is still behind XP. I would love to be able to use all 4GB of ram on my new comp, but I've found out I have hardwares that don't have drivers for Vista 64. I'm sure I'm not the only one experiencing these problems. So until that's fixed, the adoption of Vista will be slow. And I really agree with that Vista is too heavy for most laptops. But a nice C2D with 4GB of ram would handle Vista with ease.

I think MS will face the same problem with Windows 7, everyone will be attached to Vista by then, and if the hardware requirement becomes even higher, they will have the same problem.

I love Vista i think it's a ridiculously underrated operating system. Microsoft you have done it again. I'm done with XP. You have my full support for Vista, keep making it better.
