Though it's nice to see it's improving.

It was probably more fishy to see Chrome. I never heard of Google developing a browser before the day it was released. TraceMonkey's development plans and all Mozilla development plans are announced beforehand as part of the development cycle.

Exactly, I would rather have no adds and functionality than an almost unnoticeable speed difference. People with slower connections might benefit more, but I didn't notice anything.
