There's a reason why it's the most wired country in the world when measured per capita.

You guys see, thats why I put lol in the sentence. Maybe OCN isn't good at sarcasm :/ I'll make it more obvious next time yeah?

I knew I should have made it more obvious

Which ISP? I get same speeds with TPG, 25Gb onpeak and offpeak for $60 a month.

I get 10mb/1mb from Charter CC for about 55$/mo, I haven't noticed any throttling or caps but their tech support is annoying. 250GB would not nearly enough for me between Netflix streaming, torrents (mostly books, tuts ect), Pandora, other online radio, updating Linux installs, pushing/pulling backups to/from online storage, and watching streaming HD video. I guess if ISPs in my area started throttling I'd have a reason to steal wifi.

HA you call them plans BAD

come to Australia

we have to pay $80 AUD a month just to use a 25GB Cap with 1.5MB/s Download Speed
(megabits not megabytes) its about 162kb/s download

it sucks compared to over seas plans

unless you live in a major city like Sydney, Brisbane Melbourne etc, but even then its not much better the fast speed plans and 60GB cap are like $150 AUD a month

so we get no affordable high cap/speed plans, like they do in the USA
i hope it gets better here, otherwise id probably move country XD

and if they turn on the internet filter that blocks sites / peer to peer (dont use it) then id so leave because the internet would be slowed down to 80% speed of what ever our internet is, and that would SUCK sure i hate piracy but not willing to give up my already slow enough Internet connection speed for it

As for the bandwidth cap, here is what I think is appropriate:

if your download speed is 1Mbit or lower: 20GB/month
1Mbit - 3Mbit : 50GB/month
3Mbit - 5Mbit - 100 GB/month
5Mbit - 10Mbit - 150GB/month

anything over that should get a general cap of 200GB. Perfect so that casual users and high bandwidth users alike can download and upload whatever they please with great flexibility.
i think ur full of it, if i pay for "unlimited service" then im gonna get unlimited service and if i dont then that counts as breach of contract and anyone can easily sue there isp!!! there i said it
