You can make the most secure OS in the world and all you have to do is find one exploit and a hyperlink to it titled "Do not click me" I promise by the end of the day, someone WILL click on it. I read a report somewhere and the exact statistics escape me but like a a scientist had placed a realistic rubber poisonous snake in the middle of a road and monitored it for a week. I think about 3 cars actually avoided it and the rest either never noticed (and ran over it) or ran over it on purpose, with at least one running it over repeatedly. The point is, people will do stupid things and when they suffer stupid consequences, they have only themselves to blame.

When it comes to Apple, nobody is worse at programming. Not even Microsoft. Apple consistently produces software that generally works, but has more than a few glaring bugs and mind boggling design flaws. Safari 4 is fast, but it doesn't even have autoscroll, a feature that is essential for laptop owners. iTunes works alright, but the minimalist design makes it a headache to use compared to most other media players. iSafari on the iPhone constantly crashes, and the system software as a whole is full of bugs. At least once a month it will decide that all of my 3rd party apps are invalid, and refuse to open them until I sync it with iTunes AND transfer a new app onto the device. This forces me to download all of the apps I got through app store through iTunes so it doesn't DELETE them when I hit Sync.

The only reason Apple gets away with this is through redirection: by constantly harping on Windows they direct attention away from their own flaws, and by the general brainwashing that goes with being an Apple user. Nobody talks about the numerous issues with Apple's products because they are too busy making up false information about Vista.

lolwut? Apple, you've been egged two years in a row. Time to back up your claims of security. Your users are usually idiots that click anything with flashy lights, so you need to be doubletiming the improvements.

I'm not going to cause a wreck because of a snake...hell I wouldn't even dodge a large dog(And haven't before). Small animal or car, which is going to survive the collision? If you answer animal, you have no common sense. No reason to cause a wreck, and potentially kill humans not to mention causing thousands in damage, over a snake. I'm not going to go out of my way to hit an animal, but if it's in my way and it won't get out of the way, it's getting plowed.

If it's big enough to cause damage, I'll brake, but I'm not going to swerve into traffic and headon someone either.

I think you'll find that mac users doing more than iPhoto and browsing indie bands on myspace don't share the sentiment

The only original 'productivity/life' software i've left on my mac is Mail. Everything else feels like a toy, including safari (and yet I still run the nightly builds of webkit )
