I'd get Windows 7, but since i have $350 worth of Vista licenses I can not justify getting it. I have had no problems with Vista at all. If I was still using XP I might consider it but even XP users should not overlook Vista.

There is not need right now. Should games and tech start using DX11? Vista all the way.

Unlike Vista, I am quite tempted to try out this flavour of windows as soon as it hit the shelves.

The feedback i've been hearing from the BETA of Windows 7 was certainly more positive to that received from Vista, so I think something has been taken in the right direction.

I was also amused that the "Windows 7 Starter Edition" that is supposedly to be released when the OS comes out, is meant to limited the amount of applications that can be open at one time.

Can anyone confirm this?!

Everyone said the exact same thing when Vista was coming out. If you aren't getting better performance going from Vista to W7, then you're not using the right drivers. It's significantly faster than Vista in most everything. It's less of a resource hog. It's got a better interface. It's shinier. If those aren't enough reasons for you, well, it's also free right now. What do you have to lose? Really.

The beta keys MS gave everyone were simply one of five keys for each version.
