Better question is what harm can it do? Sooner or later software makers will have to make the switch, whether it provides a speed increase or not. To me this is another small step towards 64-bit becoming more the norm.

Well, as you can see now, it doesn't matter that this is a repost. For example, this is the first time I've seen this. So, if this is the first time I've seen this, then how many other first-timers do you think there could be?

Besides, what good does it do to state that this is a repost at this point in the thread?
That's what I'm wondering. All CPUID said is that this is for June of 2009 ("This new version is planned for june 2009,"), so I guess they don't really know either.

From now on, anyone seen to be making inappropriate comments about reposts or being rude to posters will result in users being warned on the first offense, and infracted on consecutive offenses.

Do not insult people who follow this sticky - they are just following the rules as we request and making our (the News Staff) jobs easier

If you have the same story with a different post, it is not worthy of a new thread. Post your source and quote in the existing thread - one thread per story, not per source.

Nevermind. I already made it clear that this repost is not a big deal and it's not harming anyone or anything. If anything, it was beneficial.

But forget it. I'm going to make a suggestion to the staff that we are no longer allowed to make a post saying, "this is a repost". The reason is that it has the potential to stir up trouble and start an argument (but more commonly with the Thread Starter).

But thank you for trying to enforce the rules on me, or teach them to me. However, next time just hit the Report Post button and let the OCN Staff do that. I'd much rather see this from an OCN Staff member than a fellow member who has no more authority on here than I do.
