I don't think he's trolling, I believe he's referring to the spyware and botnet that was embedded in the Win7 RC that made the rounds on bittorrent. I'd stick with the official releases from MS.

I installed 7100 a little while back and really like it. The only annoying little thing that is keeping me from using it all the time is that the driver for the 9600xt that comes in win7 doesn't support 1680x1050. It really pisses me off that i can't use native resolution.

The ATI card? Try the windows Vista 7.11 drivers, see if that helps. It's not windows 7 but a driver issue. Windows 7 will accept Vista drivers. The 7.11's were the last drivers that were optimized for cards pre HD2000 series.
