For her, but not the next person, and the next person. I'd still fight it on principle, they are wrong and that is all there is to it, someone has to stand up to them and I'm proud of her doing it.

Yeah yeah yeah, they said they would stop suing individuals, but I don't believe that for a second, they've made to much $$$ on the tens of thousands who have settled/succumbed to their extortion.

Yeah, but if you've ever used a P2P program in the last, hmm, 7 years or so, you'll know that the shared folder and the folder where songs are downloaded to are most often the same.

So it's not really a case of putting the songs where they can be downloaded, as much as it was that's where they were saved to. Someone with little computer know how wouldn't have known.

I don't know where you're going with that, because that would mean she pirated them.

Unless you meant to say the default folder where songs are ripped to and the default folder where shared songs go to is the same, but that isn't true.

You'd have your wages garnished, you'd be paying, no matter how you felt about it.

She was given the chance to settle outside of court for $5,000. And while 24 songs were downloaded... they had their library shared, so they were UPLOADING as well.

She tried to stick it to the RIAA and got it stuck to her.
