Lol?

I agree that the children shouldn't suffer because of her stupidity, but do you really think that she thought of getting a 1.92m debt for downloading 24 songs?

Stupid IMO. It's just big corps trying to scare P2Pers.

She wont pay that fine.. EVER! no one will.

they even mentioned in the article that the average case like this, and there is thousands in the states. are settled out of court for around $3000-$3,500 or so.. and I bet she'll do the same. that's easy enough to pay.

Now they are just going after Internet Service Providers, and soon that will be all over the news every week, then it will soon die. It's over.. It's a Digital Age. IPODS, and USB Flash Drives. I just got a 64GB Flash drive that is the size of my finger and it now has 4,700 songs on it.. Awesome! It's all about itunes, and buying music online now. sooner they realize it the better. I understand going after pirates, but it's also the times these days

Come on guys, read the article. She was offered the same $3000-$5000 settlement the rest of us would be. She was only special because she fought it and lost.

That's PER SONG, and you act like even that amount is justified. Just goes to show how screwed up our legal system is.

it seems to me that this is all a load of crap.
i dont care how stupid you think the government is, they are NOT going to expect ANYONE to play 1.92 mil for a few songs.
this is a publicity stunt and thats that.

IF this is real at all, she is probably going to pay very little.

and while i am sure some will disagree, illegal downloading of ANYTHING is a law that is simply not followed.
the government or public interest groups are not concerned in tracking down every little fish that gets music from limewire or even the people who download movies or software.
its all a big joke and people will soon realize this and just get over it.

if you want to be a good person and do the right thing, BUY your products.
BUT if you dont have the money or you dont care enough to go out and buy a new windows operating system or every song you want, then you most likely will get them illegally.

its a simple fact and these groups know that.
