Wow, so the EU has a problem with MS including Media Player too. I guess they want them to strip all functionality out of windows. In an EU perfect world I guess consumers would install Windows on their PC and then have the ability to do absolutely nothing on their computer. This is not 100% the EU's fault; some blame needs to be put on Opera and the other browsers for not advertising their products to allow for competition.

If you don't advertise, no one will know who you are. If you want to beat MS in the browser market, this is the perfect opportunity. An operating system with no included browser forces consumers to choose. If they choose IE8, then the others have no one to blame but themselves.

So that is not an option for the EU ID10T's. The probably wanted MS to include other browsers in Win7.

What MS should do is include, in separate packaging for free, IE8. Kind of like the old AOL discs that were everywhere back in the day. That would drive the EU board memebers nuts. But you fools we didn't include IE8 with the OS. We just made it the only internet browser available without a download.

Anyone that defends the EU has no basis to do so and is obviously in need of a lesson in basic economics, as is the EU board members. Anyone in the world can download any browser they desire, if they have one to get it. This was plain and simple the EU's fault. Don't try to blame MS for including their software with their OS. The EU was correct in the Intel case as that was predatory practices and the consumer had no option. In this case there are alternatives, free to use ones in fact.

How about a quick crash course in politcs and law, then? This has nothing to do with the EU, it's board members, or the people living there.

Try Opera and the European Commission.

Also, to stop people from that... place... from over the Atlanitc, blaming EU citizens or the courses for wrongdoing:

Like I might have routinely said throughout this entire thread. THE BLAME IS MICROSOFT'S. No one is making them remove IE8, they chose to.

Also, since we're talking about MS. How about we talk about Spy Glass? Netscape? Oh, what? Some of you don't remember these subjects? That's too bad, that means you no probably don't know much about this case, then.

No one is blaming European citizens for anything. People are just using the EU interchangeably with the EC.
