make an icon on the front that says "Download a Browser" and has a list to hundreds of browsers. Don't base it on the IE engine and their good.

EU is stupid because they didn't realize this. It's a hassle to go a friends place just to download a browser because the PC you bought has W7 in it.

So dumb. Until someone makes a browser where the porn pics load from the bottom up :P I don't give a rats a$$. They all pretty much do the same thing. It's their product they should be able to add IE8 to it. They don't like it, well make your own os or just download a different one if you feel like being the antithesis of everything (which is why i beleive 99% of people use different browsers. To say they do...)

If they already have an os and are replacing it, I dont see why the user cant just download a browser before the installation and put it on a thumb drive. Just slap a warning sticker on the front and include a small capacity thumb drive.

And if they are buying a new PC leave it to the OEM to put one on.

Well that's the thing. Something like this shouldn't have to happen. You shouldn't have to go to a friends place just to download the installation file just to get a browser working on the machine. That's far too much hassle for an operating system that was designed to deal with these exact every day problems.

I don't see the problem. I'd prefer this version to the one i'll be getting since i have a copy of firefox on two other rigs and a couple of flash drives.

The vast majority of users these days have more than one system, therefore they can DL whatever browser they want onto that, and then put it on the win7 one.

no it doesn't, its clearly an opinion, if you don't like it then that's to bad, i am labelling you as a troll for calling me a troll

seriously now though, if you feel my opinion is wrong your free to turn it into a debate, and i will gladly do so, and argue my point as best i can, and easily change my opinion if your argument is better, if not then my opinion will still stand

and also the entire thing is about monopolys, if microsoft in the future have 100% market share, are they going to not let Microsoft sell their OS to the EU due to monopoly is what i am talking about

This is the annoying thing though. People continously try to justify this with all these little work arounds when yet these work arounds shouldn't have to come in effect at all.

Imagine that there's one computer to a family with W7 on it and that they have no family or friends that are able to provide a browser for them to use. They're screwed.

The operating system should provide the browser for the user, there shouldn't be all this hassle of carrying pen drives or swapping installation files between people.
