We just hope Apple hasn't fixed up the old u2kpwn exploit used to jailbreak the 3GS. We'll update when we get the word about the changes made in this patch.

Quite a bit new changes but ultrasn0w users beware.

Looks like they killed ultrasn0w until that gets updated. No biggy for now.

It's quite unlikely that it'll fix the jailbreak, as it's hardware side.

Well, according to the iPhone Dev team - it is highly possible and likely that Apple can infact fix it. They said they have the jailbreak and the ultrasn0w for it all ready and can release it right now if they wanted to, but do not want Apple finding how exactly they did it and that it "would only benefit few, if not no one, if we were to release it".

quite a few changes, glad to see the APIs.
But like I said, their already cracking down on ultrasn0w but that should be a simple update - I would think - I don't know that much but it seems like nothing.

I thought the reason why The Dev Team was not releasing it was so that EVERYONE with their iPhone 3G S. As of now people that have gotten their ECID dumped into their computer will ALWAYS be able to jailbreak their phones as long as they have their original ECID dump.

They fear that if they release their version now Apple will close that gap, resulting in anyone purchasing their phone after the fix will not be able to jailbreak; however us early adopters will still be able to jailbreak.

How much longer do you suppose we should wait until UltraSnow is released? We can't keep waiting and waiting...... I know it is until OS 3.1 is released, but there is not definite date as to when it is being released...... it can take 1-3 more months.

no sure date yet,but on the bright side us 3gs owners are guaranteed a unlock/jb

so better go out and buy a 3gs before it is to late and all the iphones 3gs out there has the new baseband from 3.0.1
