it's all the same apparently so you shouldn't bother.
I don't think these are meant to be released to the public anyway.

The taskbar is smaller, and so are the taskbar icons. besides that i cant really spot any difference. I can't get a good key. So I'd advise you to stay away form this build. It the activation issues are settled.

Build 6801 also worked fine for everyone

The point is, there are newer builds.

To all the naysayers: There is a way to activate the 7264 build with a key from the previous RC versions. It just involves a bit more effort than entering it into the setup screen...

From what I have been reading yes. It worked for me when I installed my copy of 7260.

1) Getting a hold of and installing the latest RTM build everytime one is released is silly tbh, people should stick to build 7100 unless they are MSDN or TechNet subscribers, and if you're hell bent on getting the latest build illegally you should do a bit of research, then you'll know it's wiser to use a winmain branch build than a RTM one.

2) About RTM final build being signed off on July 13th it's not a rumor it's official

3) As previously stated build 7266 is fake (as are any ss of any build past 7265)

4) As Rayce said there's a workaround for the activation of build 7264 and 7265, but MS already fixed that so it won't work with future builds (it involved switching files from the latest winmain rls to trick the rtm one)

5) Taskbar and taskbar icons ain't smaller, it's just that "use small icons" option being activated by default.

6) Latest RTM build you can use RC keys with is 7262. Won't have that problem with winmain builds

so far build 7100 seems to be the best...thats the official MS released beta (RC)

newer build arent any faster contrary to what people say or believe...I have used them all...

7100 is the most stable by far...

7229 and 7232 and newer ALL have power management issues and can exibit a slight freeze when sitting idles on the desktop....they all do it...it's got to do with the power mangement of the CPU does it on AMD as well as Intel

out of 8 rigs testing various builds at various times only one rig hasnt done it...but all the others have....none of the rigs have this issue on build 7100 but all of them do on newer builds..

I woould just stay at build 7100 if you have it...
