I thought it already supported SMP? Oh well, learn something new every day!

I tried ubuntu 8.04 and it installed, however on startup (after login) it just uses 100% of all cores for no obvious reason. But it does detect all 8.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular

I'll be all over this like moles on Grandma!

It works okay, since after 8.04 didn't work, I tried using 9.04 which installed. However, it doesn't use 100% of the 8 cores, only mostly 70-90% of them.

I installed Ubuntu 9.04 x64 in VirtualBox, set up smp folding, and get this every 10 or 15 minutes:

Code:

Also, even when it is working, it's only using 4 cores. Any help would be appreciated.
