Unlocker is the only one I've used with PDFCreator being the only other one I could see myself using.

Yeah they're actually not that unpopular... especially Unlocker. You might as well stick CCleaner or Foxit Reader on that list.

I could see a couple of these being the program that someone didn't know they needed until they saw this list... but for the most part, if someone wasn't looking for a bandwidth monitoring application, a keyboard shortcut launcher, or a more advanced file explorer, they probably won't download these.

Bad article, IMO.

Launchy is amazing. I use it mostly for finding apps that I use rarely and don't have shortcuts to, but you can easily get rid of any icons you have and just use Launchy if you so desired. Another similar program to Xinorbis is SpaceMonger. It's really easy to see what folders and files are taking a lot of space on your drive so you can easily remove any large, unneeded files.

Wow that Unlocker thingy is just what I always needed. I can't even count how many times I was pissed off because something taking gigabytes would just refuse to disappear even after restart. Now it's payback time!

Launchy is godlike. I'm gradually removing all icons on my desktop as I get used to using it solely.
