Default [BSN] First plug-ins for Google Chrome trickle out

Quote:
In a battle between market leaders; Microsoft's Internet Explorer [65.5%], Firefox [22.5%], Safari [8.4%], Google Chrome faces an uphill struggle [1.8%].

Unlike search/services/advertising businesses, Chrome faces the heaviest battle yet: it offers the same level of experience as Internet Explorer and Safari, and it looks like the customers willing to change their default browsing habits aren't interested in non-customizable browsers.

Icing on the cake for me.

The problem I see is this: Firefox is open source. It's alot easier to develop add-ons for it, where as Chrome and IE isn't. Statistically speaking, if the odds of developing a good add-on is constant, then more also means a higher number of better add-ons as well.

Actually, Google Chrome (and it's non-snitch twin SRWare Iron, my choice amongst browsers) is open-source. Check this link.

Both are based on the open-source Chromium engine.

My bad. It'll still be hard for Chrome to fight Firefox though, since Firefox is alot more entrenched.

True. But, they also said that about Firefox vs Internet Explorer.

The funny thing, though, is that Google is Mozilla's primary resource for money.

I ditched Firefox a long while ago. I only use Google Chrome right now and occasionally Firefox once in a while.

I'd like ad-block and reload-every for Chrome. Other than that, I really like how it handles tabs.
