I agree with you that it would probably increase the amount of tv shows being uploaded, but majority of the people who upload don't upload tv shows so why should we punish the majority who actually want to be able to post a video longer than 10 mins.

To be honest it doesn't really look like it is stopping people from uploading anyways just 3 parts per episode is usually the deal see below.

They still do that with parts, anyway...

I don't understand what you are complaining about.
If someone is interested in continuing watching your video, I'm sure they can be bothered to click on "part 2" on side in the Related videos section.
Except for those of us with slower connections or at a time when youtube is going slow, we can't have the video load while we're out or similar then come back to a fully or nearly fully loaded video...

There is nearly no reason to up the max filesize and not the time.

Well, if the time limit goes up, the size limit must also follow. But I see what you are saying and I agree. Increase BOTH!. PLEASE YOUTUBE.

Um - people still do that.
My friend the other day was able to watch every Pirate of The caribean movie and Transformers 1 on Youtube. How he could stand wasting his time like that - I don't know, but he's the same person who pays $10 evertime he changes his Xbox Live name which he does 3-4 times a week so......

Great! You can now upload a much bigger video which will take longer to encode and upload and then still get it muted or deleted for some obscure copyright infringement.

The thing is, the fact that files are limited to 10 minutes is a good defence for youtube. They can say 'We don't support copyright infringement, you can't even upload a whole episode in one go!'.
