Try cleaning up old directories inside the Windows Temp folder. Firefox 3.5 is scanning each directories within the temp folder during the load. To browse to your temp folder, do Start->Run: explorer %temp%

I'm not sure if the problem still exists in the final version, but I know the testing versions (at least on OS X 10.4) had cache issues, the browser would read from the cache, instead of actually refreshing the page.

Had this problem too.

I had to delete my Temp folder in order for everything to work and load fast.
