so guys what about ATI's promise of releasing RV800 series with Win7 ?

It is not October yet...

The final RTM build is done on July 13... But it is not realeased to public until October...

I'll either buy 4GB ram and get the 64 bit version, which makes more sense, or just stick with the 32-bit version.
