I'm running 7264 x86/x64 and I'll be running Build 7300 (RTM) for free when it comes thanks to Technet/MSDNA.

Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 exists. Refer to 7201 SP1.

So does this build ever expire? Like if I were to download it from Technet would I ever have to reformat?

It still only works perfectly in 32 bit. 64 bit has too many flaws to think of as "working".

BTW can someone please answer the question I asked 2 lines up? +rep for help.

I do not know for sure, but I'm pretty sure it will be, providing it is the exact same build that is released to manufacturers (sounds like it is). If that's the case, it'll most likely just be a digital (if you choose to download it, afaik they can mail it to you) version of the retail copy that people will be purchasing in October.

At least I'm hoping it will be! Going to pick one up through MSDNAA when it's available.

Edit: Damn, just realised my answer was not clear at all. I meant to say that it will probably be the exact same version as the retail version, meaning it will not expire (as it will be exactly the same). Jpw007 below me is on the money.

No, it is essentially the final build for OEMs / Developers to use to base all of their programs and compatability on. Will not expire!

In COD4, maybe, but there are many other games which use punkbuster such as Battlefield that do not work under x64.
