Ah I see. I will have to use a friend's Technet to DL this then...

What about keys? Do beta/RC keys work or will they start handing out individual ones? It doesn't seem like they are ready to start implementing individual keys...

The Beta/RC keys do not work for the final product, and in fact some not-available-to-the-public rc versions after the public RC had different keys.

You get an individual key for each product downloaded/ordered from technet/MSDNAA (I believe technet works the same as MSDNAA). Something interesting to note is that with the x86 and x64 versions of vista, the keys are interchangeable and will work with either. This is assuming the product version is the same, a x86 key for home premium will not work for x64 ultimate, but it will work for x64 home premium.

I'm not suggesting piracy, or advocating it, but if your friend with the technet account has no need for say a 32bit version of the final win7 build... chances are the key will also be valid for the 64bit version.

Make of that as you will good sir, now I must be off. *tips hat*
