Yeah, I never got the fascination people have with the need to post every insignificant instant of their day for people to see--more importantly, to people they probably don't have the interest or motivation to keep in real contact with. Same with Facebook too. Don't even get me started on myspace...

Actually, it is quite interesting and fun to use when you've got friends and family.
Its also handy to keep up on news and such if you follow people like Joystiq. Movie/TV stars, singers/bands, and even video game developers all have Twitters that you can follow and read up on if you want to. Its a great way to get all your news in one place if that is what you want.

And honestly, this isn't news. I've been doing this with Twitterific since I got my iPhone.
One account I have for friends/family, and the other I have for things like Joystiq and stuff.
