This is just surreal. As many have pointed out, shoplifting the same amount from Wal-Mart might get you a grand in fines, maybe a little bit more. Honestly, I probably get away with less punishment by god knows how many other crimes (Racketeering, larceny, blackmail, grand theft...).

I wonder why they target people who only take like 30 songs i have friends
that have libraries of upwards of 5k in songs none of them legally bought. O maybe cause at $80,000 a song you get a grand total of $400,000,000 HA HA. Maybe if we got the RIAA to sue like 100 people that have libraries like this somebody would do something. OR we get every American to download 1 song then what will they do.

Except she'll probably get fired now and make nowhere near $50k a year. 2 million for the average person is a life sentence, outside of prison. A living nightmare.

Her life is basically ruined. From now on ill just do things that don't involve music. The guy that was pirating software and selling it only got $200,000. Somebody needs to make there lifelong goal to assassinate the president of the RIAA.

Besides you can always declare bankruptcy. Your credit will be decimated but you most likely will not have to pay the full 2 million. What does it have to do with the constitution?

So what we see here is that the US Government considers stealing a mere 24 songs is god knows worse than raping and murdering an innocent person.

Yep has to stop. I would give them a single penny and call it good. Here is more proof of some crazy RIAA fact Lets form an angy mob march to the RIAAs presidents House and burn it down in the name of all that is good and right. LOL How bought this O NO if i put songs off a cd onto my ipod i pirated. Even though i payed for it. ANY artist that supports this idea should be boycotted.
