How can it cost 1 billion? How the heck do you measure piracy? Loss of possible sales? Most people who pirate either don't have the money to purchase it, or they find the software isn't worth purchasing.

see whats been downloaded and how many times
__________________put a figure on it by checking the price of the product and times it by that when you make a song and it gets played on to the radio and you are not paid royalty it means u r not paid for what u worked for there for you have lost money so yes money is lost
